Mr. Nerms has become very needy with the arrival of Tenzin-wenzin, the kitten-witten who can do no wrong. Mr. Nerms is my boy. He's eleven now and is prone to jealous fits. Well tonight he wanted his mommy. He was content to lay across my wrists (not the most ergonomic position, especially for a 15 lb flabby cat), until he deleted half the emails in my inbox. (Luckily, I saw them going and was able to fish them out of the deleted items.)
So, I moved the mouse for my work pc off the desk down to the mouse tray with my personal mouse and invited him up onto the desk where he laid for a while (on the weekends, when I pick up the work keyboard, he spends 48 hours pretty much sprawled on my desk directly in front of me). Then, he came back down into my lap, deleting some of the items out of my to do bar in Outlook as he went. Thankfully edit-undo fixed that.
You know, we call Mr. Nerms the dumbest cat in the house. We joke that he has two brain cells and they're both going in opposite directions. However, this is the cat that after the first time figured out that there were pills in the middle of the pill pockets and he didn't want any (luckily he's so mellow I was able to poke the rest of his 10-day course of antibiotics down his throat without a fuss) and now appears very proficient in the use of MS Outlook. (What does that say for the customers I support on the help desk? haha!)
I'm not sure Mr. Nerms is as dumb as he lets us think he is.
